Celebrate Canada Day at Doheny Beach!
Canadian Confederation celebrates 150 years since the British North America act was signed on July 1st, 1867, creating the Dominion of Canada.
Canadians around the world will be celebrating Canada's 150th, and Canadians in Orange County with the Consulate General of Canada are thrilled to play a role in bringing the Canadian expat community together here in Orange County! Let's celebrate California style together at the Beach! The Consulate General of Canada is flying in a RCMP officer to join in our festivities! Get your picture with a Mountie!
Wear your favorite Canadian tee shirt, ball cap, or just wear some RED and WHITE! You could even wear one of our Canadians in Orange County baseball caps! Show your Canadian pride to kick of this long weekend with our fellow Americans!
About This Year's Location
We wanted to make sure this special event is not left to 'chance', so this year we've reserved a beautiful site at Doheny State Beach. Included, is an alcohol waiver, so you are welcome to openly enjoy the beer or wine you bring to the event! The site has a large paved shaded area, picnic tables, sinks, and BBQ grills!
The site is reserved for the entire day! Everyone is welcome to stay into the evening. We are also finalizing details for evening musical entertainment around the fire pit!
